Giuseppe Palica

Giuseppe Palica (born October 8, 1869 in Rome , † December 16, 1936 there ) was an Italian bishop.

On December 18, 1892 he was ordained a priest for the diocese of Rome. On November 13, 1914, he was appointed Consultor of the Council Congregation and on December 8, 1914, Prelato Domestico . Pope Benedict XV appointed him on April 25, 1917 vice-nominee in the diocese of Rome and titular bishop of Philippi . Cardinal Vicar Basilio Pompili consecrated him on May 20, 1917 as bishop. Co- consecrators were Pietro di Maria , Bishop of Catanzaro , and Giulio Serafini , titular diocese of Lampsacus .

During his time as vice-gentleman, he ordained 13 priests who later became bishops and was co-consecrator in 15 episcopal ordinations, including that of Angelo Roncalli .

Palica was present when the Reich Concordat was signed on July 20, 1933.
