The Diocese of Pinerolo ( lat. : Dioecesis Pineroliensis , ital. : Diocese of Pinerolo ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Pinerolo .

history

The diocese of Pinerolo was established on December 23, 1748 by Pope Benedict XIV with the Apostolic Constitution In sacrosancta . In 1805 the diocese of Pinerolo was dissolved and the territory was annexed to the diocese of Saluzzo . On July 17, 1817, the diocese of Pinerolo was re-established by Pope Pius VII with the Apostolic Constitution Beati Petri .

The diocese of Pinerolo is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Turin as a suffragan .
