The Diocese of Alba ( lat. : Dioecesis Albae Pompeiensis , ital. : Diocese of Alba ) is one in Italy located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Alba .
history
The diocese of Alba was established in the 4th century. In 1803 the diocese of Alba was dissolved and the territory was annexed to the diocese of Asti . On July 17, 1817, the diocese of Alba was re-established by Pope Pius VII with the Apostolic Constitution Beati Petri .
The diocese is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Turin as a suffragan .
