Marco Brunetti (born July 6, 1962 in Turin , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Alba .

Life

Marco Brunetti grew up in the Turin district of Nichelino and entered the boys' seminar in Giaveno to attend middle and high school . He then entered the seminary and studied at the theological faculty of northern Italy . He also graduated from the International Institute for Theology of the Pastoral Care of the Sick, Camillianum in Rome. On June 7, 1987, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Turin .

In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he headed the pastoral care of the sick in the Archdiocese of Turin from 1996 and in the Piedmont church region from 2006 . In 2010 he was appointed canon of the Metropolitan Chapter at Turin Cathedral appointed.

On January 21, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Alba. The Archbishop of Turin, Cesare Nosiglia , ordained him episcopal on March 13 of the same year. Co-consecrators were the senior archbishop of Turin, Cardinal Severino Poletto , and his predecessor in Alba, Giacomo Lanzetti .
