Giacomo Lanzetti (born April 21, 1942 in Carmagnola ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus bishop of Alba .

Life

The Archbishop of Turin , Michele Pellegrino , ordained him a priest on June 26, 1966 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Turin and titular bishop of Mariana in Corsica on June 21, 2002 . The Archbishop of Turin , Cardinal Severino Poletto , donated him episcopal ordination on July 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Paolo Romeo , Apostolic Nuncio in Italy and San Marino , and Pier Giorgio Micchiardi , Bishop of Acqui . As a motto he chose Sincero corde servire .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on September 29, 2006 Bishop of Alghero-Bosa . He was appointed Bishop of Alba on June 28, 2010 and was introduced to the office on October 2 of the same year.

On September 24, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his early resignation.
