The diocese of Alghero-Bosa ( lat . : Dioecesis Algarensis-Bosanensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy , located in Sardinia , with its seat in Alghero .

It belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Sassari in the ecclesiastical region of Sardinia and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sassari .

history

The diocese of Alghero was founded in the 12th century and rebuilt on December 8, 1503. The diocese of Bosa dates from the 5th century. On September 30, 1986, both dioceses were merged.
