The diocese Tempio-Ampurias ( Latin Dioecesis Templensis-Ampuriensis , Italian Diocesi di Tempio-Ampurias ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy located in Sardinia . The bishopric is in the city of Tempio Pausania .
It belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Sassari in the ecclesiastical region of Sardinia and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sassari .
history
The diocese Tempio was founded in the 4th century, the Diocese Ampurias in the 12th century. On September 30, 1986 both bishoprics were united.
