Douglas Coutinho Gomes de Souza , called Douglas Coutinho , (born February 8, 1994 in Volta Redonda ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Douglas Coutinho started his football training at Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte . During this time he went to the Athletico Paranaense in Curitiba at the age of sixteen . Here he also made the leap into the professional squad and played his first game in Serie A in the 2013 season . On the second day of the season it was against Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte. Coutinho came on for Éverton in the 52nd minute . On January 30, 2014, Coutinho made his international club debut. In the 2014 Copa Libertadores , they faced Sporting Cristal from Peru in the qualifying round . In the game he was substituted on for Sueliton Pereira in the 63rd minute . In the same year, Coutinho scored his first goal in the top division of Brazil. On the 6th matchday of the 2014 season on May 22, 2014, he succeeded in the away game against Corinthians São Paulo , after he came on the field in the 64th minute, in the 85th minute, the goal to make it 1-1.

In late 2014, Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal's interest in the player was confirmed. However, no offer was submitted.

After three years, he went back to his first youth club, the Cruzeiro EC, on loan at the end of 2015. Another loan deal was announced on September 1, 2016. Douglas Coutinho went to Portugal to join Sporting Braga . On September 19, 2016, he came to the club for the first time. In the Primeira Liga game against Benfica Lisbon he was substituted on for Ricardo Horta in the 67th minute . With just one more game at Taça de Portugal in his luggage, Coutinho returned to his home club in January 2017. Coutinho ran the 2017 season again for Athletico Paranaense. After the end of the season, it was announced on December 24, 2017 that he would be loaned to Ceará SC at the start of game operations in 2018 . After his loan ended in July, he immediately joined another. Coutinho came to Fortaleza EC . The loan was limited to the end of the Série B 2018 season.

In March 2019, Coutinho went to South Korea , where he signed a contract on loan with Seoul E-Land FC until the end of the year.
