Career

In the club

Ricardo Horta played for Benfica Lisbon for a few years as a teenager before moving to the youth department of Vitória Setúbal in 2011 . On April 7, 2013, he made his debut in a 2-1 away defeat against Rio Ave FC in the Primeira Liga . In May 2013 he signed a five-year contract with Vitória Setúbal until June 30, 2018. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the Spanish first division club Málaga .

In the national team

In April 2013, Horta made his debut in the Portuguese U-19 national team. In July of the same year he took part in the U-19 European Championship . On September 7, 2014, he played for the first time for the senior national team in the European Championship qualifier against Albania .
