Eduardo Antônio Machado Teixeira , called Eduardo , (born June 7, 1993 in Fortaleza , Ceará ) is a Brazilian football player . The right foot runs mainly in the left midfield.
Career
Eduardo began his career at Fortaleza EC . In 2011 he made the leap into the professional squad here. On March 17, 2011, he played his first professional game at the Copa do Brasil . He was substituted on in the 79th minute against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . It was his only professional game for the club, he did not get a chance in the league. In 2012 the player moved to Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . In the championship season of FLU 2012 he was only on the bench in the game against CR Vasco da Gama on December 2nd . He came to his first Bundesliga appearance in the 2013 season . During the 2014 and 2015 seasons Eduardo was loaned to Serie B clubs. For the championship round in 2016 , he was initially loaned to the América Mineiro . In August Eduardo went on loan to Portugal for GD Estoril Praia . The following year it was permanently taken over by Estoril .
On May 17, 2018, Sporting Braga announced they had signed Eduardo. The contract had a term of five years. Eduardo played his first competitive game for Sporting in the Primeira Liga on August 12, 2018, the first matchday of the 2018/19 season , against Nacional Funchal . In that game he was in the starting line-up. During the season he made ten goalless appearances (6 in the Primeira Liga, 2 in the Taça da Liga , 2 in the Taça de Portugal ). He was then loaned to Xanthi FC in Greece in July 2019 . Eduardo played his first game for Xanthi on matchday two of the 2019/20 Super League season . In the away game against Panetolikos on August 31, 2019, he came on for Vincenzo Rennella in the 68th minute . In the 72nd minute, he also scored his first goal for the club with the equalizer to make it 1-1.
