The Roman Catholic Diocese of Susa ( lat. : Dioecesis Segusiensis , ital. : Diocese of Susa ) is one in Italy located Roman Catholic diocese based in Susa .
history
The diocese of Susa emerged from the Exemten Abbey of San Giusto di Susa, founded in 1200 . It was erected on August 3, 1772 by Pope Clement XIV with the Apostolic Constitution Quod nobis from territorial cessions of the Archdiocese of Turin and subordinated to this as a suffragan . In 1803 the Diocese of Susa was dissolved and the territory was annexed to the Archdiocese of Turin. On July 17, 1817, the diocese of Susa was re-established by Pope Pius VII with the Apostolic Constitution Beati Petri .
