Alfonso Badini Confalonieri (born August 1, 1944 in Valenza ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Susa .

Life

Alfonso Badini Confalonieri was ordained a priest on June 29, 1978 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Susa on December 13, 2000. Cardinal Secretary of State Angelo Cardinal Sodano donated him episcopal ordination on January 31 of the following year ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia, Agostino Cacciavillan , Pro-Prefect of the Administration of Goods of the Apostolic See , and Francesco Monterisi , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops and the College of Cardinals .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on October 12, 2019.
