The Roman Catholic Diocese of Vigevano ( lat. : Dioecesis Viglevanensis , ital. : Diocese of Vigevano ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Vigevano .

history

The diocese of Vigevano was established on March 14, 1530 by Pope Clement VII with the Apostolic Constitution Pro excellenti from ceding territories from the dioceses of Novara and Pavia and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Milan as a suffragan . On November 26, 1817, the diocese of Vigevano was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Vercelli and on July 17, 1974 to the Archdiocese of Milan as a suffragan.
