Vincenzo Di Mauro (born December 1, 1951 in Monza ) is an Italian priest and old archbishop ad personam of Vigevano .

Life

Di Mauro entered the seminary of the Archdiocese of Milan in October 1961 . The Archbishop of Milan, Giovanni Cardinal Colombo , ordained him a priest on June 12, 1976 . After initially working as a parish priest, Carlo Maria Cardinal Martini appointed him to work at the Cattedra die non credenti in 1987 . In January 2004, Pope John Paul II appointed him a delegate of the Ordinary Section within the Administration of Property of the Apostolic See .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on September 3, 2007 Secretary of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See and Titular Bishop of Arpi . The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on September 29 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Tarcisio Pietro Evasio Cardinal Bertone SDB , Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Chamberlain , and Cardinal Marian Jaworski , Archbishop of Lviv .

As a motto , Di Mauro chose Super omnia caritas . On November 22, 2010 he was appointed coadjutor archbishop ad personam of Vigevano . After Claudio Baggini's resignation , he succeeded him on March 12, 2011 as Bishop of Vigevano. He resigned from his post on July 21, 2012 for health reasons.
