The Roman Catholic Diocese of Fossano ( lat. : Dioecesis Fossanensis , ital. : Diocese of Fossano ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Fossano .

history

The diocese of Fossano was established on April 15, 1592 by Pope Clement VIII with the Apostolic Constitution Hodie ex certis from territory of the Archdiocese of Turin and subordinated to this as a suffragan . In 1801 the diocese of Fossano was dissolved and the territory was annexed to the archdiocese of Turin. On July 17, 1817, the diocese of Fossano was re-established by Pope Pius VII with the Apostolic Constitution Beati Petri .

The Bishop of Fossano is also Bishop of Cuneo in persona episcopi .
