Natalino Pescarolo

Natalino Pescarolo (born March 26, 1929 in Palestro , † January 4, 2015 in Cuneo ) was Bishop of Cuneo and Fossano .

Life

Natalino Pescarolo studied Philosophy and Catholic Theology at the Vercelli Seminary. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1952 . First he was active in the pastoral service and finally provost of Robbio Lomellina.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on April 7, 1990 auxiliary bishop in Cuneo and titular bishop of Alexanum . The Archbishop of Vercelli , Albino Mensa , donated him episcopal ordination on May 5th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Carlo Aliprandi , Bishop of Cuneo, Severino Poletto , Bishop of Asti , and Luigi Bettazzi , Bishop of Ivrea .

Natalino Pescarolo was Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Fossano and was appointed Bishop of Fossano on May 4, 1992 by Pope John Paul II . On February 1, 1999, Pope John Paul II also appointed him Bishop of Cuneo.

On August 24, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement. Pescarolo died on January 4, 2015 in the Santa Croce Hospital in Cuneo.
