Frank Crawford Sites
Frank Crawford Sites (born December 24, 1864 in Shippensburg , Cumberland County , Pennsylvania , † May 23, 1935 in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania) was an American politician . Between 1923 and 1925 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .
Career
In 1875 Frank Sites moved with his parents to Harrisburg, where he attended public schools. He then completed an apprenticeship as a watchmaker and jeweler. In the following years he worked in these industries. Between 1903 and 1912 he was chairman of the school board of the City of Harrisburg; from 1913 to 1922 he worked there as a postman. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party .
In the 1922 congressional election sites in the 19th constituency of Pennsylvania was elected to the House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he succeeded Republican John Marshall Rose on March 4, 1923 . Since he was not confirmed in 1924, he could only serve one term in Congress until March 3, 1925 .
After his tenure in the US House of Representatives, Frank Sites returned to Harrisburg, where he worked in the securities business. He died there on May 23, 1935.
