Frank Dupré

Frank Dupré (born October 11, 1954 in Speyer ) is a medium-sized German construction company . He has been Vice President of the Central Association of the German Building Industry since February 2005 and President of the Rhineland-Palatinate Building Industry Association since 2006 .

Life

Dupré is a business graduate . From 1987 to 2000 he was head master of the building trade and carpentry guild in Speyer. From 1989 to 1992 he was chairman of the Association of Young Builders in the ZDB; he was its founding chairman. From 1993 to 1998 he was a member of the city council of the city of Speyer and a member of the building committee of the city of Speyer.

In May 1992 he became chairman of the Palatinate Building Trade Association; he held this office until 1994. From 1994 to 2006 he was then President of the Rheinhessen-Pfalz Building Trade Association. In 2006 he became president of the Rhineland-Palatinate building trade association.

Since January 2005 Dupré has been chairman of the committee for social and collective bargaining policy in the Central Association of the German Building Industry. In this role, Dupré was responsible for shaping social and tariff policies for the entire construction industry . He played a decisive role in the introduction of the seasonal short-time work allowance , a set of instruments to reduce winter unemployment in construction, the harmonization of minimum wages in East and West and the introduction of a collectively agreed supplementary pension . He was also instrumental in introducing the 40-hour week without wage compensation.

Since 2005, Dupré has been a member and alternate chairman of the supervisory board of the construction industry's supplementary pension fund and of the administrative board of the construction industry's vacation and wage compensation fund. In this role he was particularly committed to the modernization and optimization of business processes.

In addition, Dupré has been a board member of the Federal Association of German Employers' Associations since 2005 and a member of the board of the trade association for the construction industry since 2005 and since 2011 chairman of the association "Berufsgenossenschaftliche Heilverarbeitung Heidelberg", which operates two accident clinics.

Dupré also represents the interests of the medium-sized construction industry on a European level; He has been Vice President of the Fédération de l'Industrie Européenne de la Construction (FIEC), the association of the European construction industry , since 2012 .

Since 2012 Dupré has been managing director of C. Dupré Bau GmbH & Co. KG in Speyer.

Awards

Dupré received several awards for his professional commitment, including a. 2011 the Cross of Merit to Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Golden Merit Medal of the Central Association of the German Building Industry (2006), the Golden Badge of Honor of the Building Trade Association of Rhineland-Palatinate (2008) and the Gold Badge of Honor of the Chamber of Crafts of the Palatinate (2006).

In 2005 he was awarded the innovation prize of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate for the invention of the infrastructure channel in monolithic unreinforced fiber-reinforced concrete .
