Frank Eitemüller

Frank Eitemüller (born October 7, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player.

Growing up in the Erzgebirge community of Markersbach , where he trained and played in the children's and youth teams of the BSG Motor Markersbach from 1963 to 1971, he switched to the Karl-Marx-Stadt children's and youth sports school in 1971 . From 1971 to 1975 he played in the youth and junior division; he belonged to the GDR youth team, where he received 13 appearances, including in the UEFA youth tournament. He played his first game in the GDR league in 1974 in the game between FC Karl-Marx-Stadt and Chemie Leipzig . The midfielder was part of the FC Karl-Marx-Stadt league squad between 1975 and 1986. He played a total of 178 competitive games in the Oberliga, in which he scored 12 goals. In the FDGB Cup he was used for the sky blue a total of nineteen times , in the UEFA Intertoto Cup five times. In the final game for the FDGB Cup 1982/83 , in which FC Karl-Marx-Stadt lost to 1. FC Magdeburg 0: 4, he was in the FCK lineup until the 46th minute.

He ended his career in 1991 at Chemnitzer SV 51 Heckert , where he had played since 1986. In 1988, with the VfB predecessor Motor Fritz Heckert Karl-Marx-Stadt , he once again managed to briefly return to the second-rate GDR league .
