Athletic career

From 1963 to 1973 Frank Mulansky was a junior player at Dynamo Dresden . In the 1972/73 season he made his debut in the GDR-wide league with a point game for Dynamo Dresden II in the second-rate GDR league. There he did not appear in 1973/74, only in the 1974/75 season he reappeared in the GDR league. There he now played for TSG Gröditz , with which he played 37 league games until 1976. For the 1976/77 season he moved to SG Dynamo Eisleben , where he also stayed two seasons and completed all 44 point games in the GDR league.

In June 1978 Mulansky joined the GDR league club Chemie Leipzig. There he could still be used in the last two promotion games to the league, but chemistry missed promotion. In the 1978/79 season he was used in 14 of the 22 league games, and the Leipzig team again reached the promotion round. This time Mulansky will play six of the eight qualifying games with which Chemie Leipzig has now made promotion. However, it was only a league season, because the league could not be achieved in 1979/80. Mulansky was used as a defender in 17 league games. Then he played two more seasons in the GDR league, in which he was a regular player in defense.

Mulansky was then a regular at TSG Chemie Markkleeberg , which was also represented in the GDR league. In his three seasons with TSG, he played 72 of 78 league games. For the 1984/85 season he was appointed team captain. In the summer of 1985 Mulansky ended his career as a competitive athlete. Within twelve seasons he had played 17 games in the league (without a goal), 205 GDR league games (6 goals) and eight goalless promotion games. He let his football career end with the third-rate regional league team of Motor Lindenau in Leipzig .
