Frank Ockert (born November 8, 1968 in Elztal ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Frank Ockert came in 1987 from SV Dallau in the Bundesliga for SV Waldhof Mannheim . Ockert made seven appearances under coach Felix Latzke . After the season they parted ways, the defender went to FC 08 Homburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 1988/89 season he finished second with the Saarlanders behind Fortuna Düsseldorf and rose. As in the promotion season, he was only a supplementary player in the Bundesliga . Under coach Josef Stabel he made his debut in December 1989 in the 1: 3 defeat against FC Bayern Munich in the German elite class, when he replaced Thomas Gerstner a few minutes before the final whistle . By the end of the season, he played six first division games, followed by the club's immediate relegation. Ockert played another year in the second division for the club, after 22 season appearances he moved on to FV 09 Weinheim , where he stayed for a year. This was followed by 48 games for his new employer, VfL Wolfsburg in the 2nd Bundesliga.
From 1994 onwards, Ockert tried at SSV Ulm 1846 on the side of Thomas Tuchel , Philipp Laux , Sascha Rösler , Matthias Fritz and Klaus Perfetto for the promotion to the second class. Under coaches Paul Sauter and Martin Gröh, he was a regular on the defensive. After three years in the Regionalliga Süd by Ralf Rangnick , he moved to SB Heidenheim . In the summer of 1999 he joined the FV Biberach in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , but ended his active career there after a few weeks in September.
Ockert later returned to SSV Ulm. At the club, which is now playing in professional football, he worked as a safety officer, but in April 2001 he went to Karlsruher SC . There he worked as a fan representative.
Ockert has been an event manager since 1995.
