Frank Quednau
Frank Quednau (* 1941 in Berlin ; † May 1, 2010 ibid) was a German sports journalist .
Frank Quednau grew up in Berlin-Britz , where he was also active in sports in his youth. Quednau's achievements were not enough for a sports career of his own, but he began to work as a journalist and literary writer at school. As a sports journalist, he initially wrote for the " Kölnische Rundschau " and the " Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger ", and since 1976 also for " Die Welt ". Between 1972 and 1988 Quednau reported from all summer and winter games . From 1982 to 1998, with an eight-month break, he was in charge of the sports department of “Welt”. After a long period in Cologne, Quednau lived in Berlin again in the mid-1990s, where he died in 2010 after a long illness at the age of 69. He left a son and a daughter.
