Frank Schneider (journalist)
Frank Schneider (* 1958 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German travel journalist , photographer and author of several non-fiction books on scuba diving (including diving travel guides).
Life
Frank Schneider got his first diving license in 1982 . Since 1983 he has been working regularly as a freelance journalist (author and photographer) for the specialist journal diving . He also publishes in other diving magazines such as Aquanaut and the VDST organ Der Sporttaucher . Many of his underwater photographs became cover pictures . Articles from Schneider are u. a. published in Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
From 2007 he was the editor-in-chief of Top Special Verlag for the special issue diving Extra Markt & Technik , which was published once a year until the 2011 edition was discontinued.
Since the beginning of 2015 he has been producing the online magazine divingEurope together with Paul Munzinger .
Schneider is a regular member of the jury of UW photo competitions, for example he chaired the competition jury for the international photo competition Elba Fotofest from 2016 to 2018.
