Karell Piña Ventoza (born February 13, 1988 in Morón ) is a Cuban beach volleyball player .
Career
Piña played with Sergio Reynaldo González Bayard on the NORCECA tour in 2009 . Piña / González finished second in Grand Cayman and Guatemala City , and then won the tournament in Boca Chica . In 2010 they won the tournament in Guatemala City after a third place in San Salvador and a second place in Boca Chica. With Javier Jimenez , Piña finished second in Guatemala in 2011 and won in Boca Chica. In Chiapas with Yadrian Escobar and in Varadero again with Jimenez there were two third places. Piña / González then took part in the Pan American Games in Guadalajara , where they finished sixth. In 2012 they prevailed at the NORCECA tournaments in Chiapas and Varadero and came second in Toluca . In 2013 they finished second in Guatemala, fifth in Toluca and fourth in Varadero. In 2014, Piña competed with Yendris Castillo Morales only in Varadero and came in third there.
In 2015 he formed a new duo with Daisel Quesada Sardiñas . Quesada / Piña won the NORCECA tournament in Punta Cana and came fourth in Trinidad and Tobago . In 2016 they won again in Punta Cana. They finished fifth in Varadero and third in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2017 they won three tournaments on the NORCECA tour in La Paz , Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios . They also finished fifth in Varadero. Quesada / Piña qualified for the World Championship in Vienna via the NORCECA preliminary decision . There they lost their three preliminary round games without winning a set and were eliminated as the last group.
