Frank Wallitzek (born November 15, 1977 in Aachen ) is a German radio presenter .

Life

Frank Wallitzek grew up in Aachen. At the age of 13 he presented his first radio programs on the East Belgian radio stations Radio Euro, Radio Fantasy Raeren and was one of the youngest radio presenters with his own program. In 1998 he volunteered at the Aachen city broadcaster Radio Aachen and later worked there as an editor and music director. With its morning show Theißen and Wallitzek , later Pauls and Wallitzek , the station became the market leader on several occasions. In 2002, the broadcast was awarded the radio prize in the category “Best Moderation” by the State Agency for Media in North Rhine-Westphalia . He was also nominated in 2008 for the German media award “Golden Prometheus” in the category “Radio Journalist of the Year”. In November 2012, Frank Wallitzek and his moderator colleague Volker Groß won the LfM radio award in the category of best entertainment , and four years later the LfM radio award as “best moderator”.

In 2001 Frank Wallitzek switched to Radio Salü in Saarbrücken, where he presented the morning show WALLITZEK & CO. before he went back to Aachen in 2003. This was followed by morning shows on Radio Kiepenkerl in Dülmen and presentations on Radio NRW in Oberhausen and Radio WMW in Borken. In between, Frank Wallitzek could also be seen on the digital television station TechniTipp-TV with his own program; UPDATE - The computer and internet magazine was broadcast across Europe.

Since the beginning of 2008, Frank Wallitzek has been employed as editor, deputy head of service and presenter at the second largest local radio station in North Rhine- Westphalia, Radio Bonn / Rhein-Sieg , where he can be heard in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district from 3–8pm on the Drivetime program was. Since the beginning of 2009 he has hosted the morning show Radio Bonn / Rhein-Sieg in the morning , Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Until the beginning of 2010, he also presented the program Soundcheck - Die Ü30 Radio Party on Saturdays across the country on Radio NRW .

From August to October 2012, Frank Wallitzek could be heard again in his hometown and moderated as a freelance presenter on Antenne AC , the radio for the city region of Aachen, the evening program Antenne AC in the afternoon (3pm - 6pm), the show Antenne AC on the weekend ( Sat / Sun 9 am–12pm) and the sport radio Antenne AC Aktivzeit , partly in connection with the Alemannia Aachen live reporting (Sat – Sun 1 pm–6pm).

Since September 6, 2014 Frank Wallitzek has hosted the program Wallis Wonderful Weekend every Saturday on the Hessian private radio Hit Radio FFH from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and was thus heard for the first time in all of Hesse and the neighboring federal states. On April 30, 2020, Wallitzek announced the end of his work at Hit Radio FFH via Instagram .

Frank Wallitzek lived from 2008 to 2010 in Bonn - Bad Godesberg in the district of Muffendorf , between 2010 and 2011 he lived in the Schweinheim district , from late summer 2011 to summer 2017 he lived in Unkel , and since June 2017 he has lived in Kasbach-Ohlenberg am Rhein .
