Frankie Cosmos is a band project by Greta Kline (born March 21, 1994 ) from New York City . Kline started the project as a solo artist from home in the early 2010s under various names (including "Ingrid Superstar") before teaming up with other musicians under the current name. Frankie Cosmos' style is mostly described as indie pop / rock or alternative pop / rock .

biography

Greta Kline was born in New York City on March 21, 1994 , the daughter of Hollywood actors Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates . Even as a teenager, she regularly published lo-fi bedroom recordings on her Bandcamp site, at that time still under the alias “Ingrid Superstar”. In 2014 the first album Zentropy was released under the name Frankie Cosmos, “a collection of sparingly orchestrated, subtle anti-folk-pop miniatures” ( byte.fm ). Further studio albums followed with Next Thing (2016), Vessel (2018) and Close It Quietly (2019). Greta Kline starred with her parents and older brother, Owen Kline , in Relationships and Other Disasters (2001). Also alongside her brother, she starred in a role in The Octopus and the Whale (2005).
