František Bombic (born April 20, 1977 in České Budějovice , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player who has played well over 750 games in the Czech and Slovak ice hockey leagues since 1995. He also played in the 2001/02 season some games with the Idaho Steelheads in the US WCHL and in the following season in the Finnish SM-liiga .

Career

Bombic began playing ice hockey at the age of five.

With HC Dukla Trenčín , Bombic was champion of the Slovak extra league in the 2003/04 season ; he achieved the same in the 2008/09 season with HC Energie Karlovy Vary . In the 2009/10 season he won the championship title with KLH Chomutov in the second-rate, 1st Czech league , but missed promotion in relegation.
