František Vaclav Míča
František Vaclav Míča (born September 5, 1694 in Trebitsch , † February 15, 1744 in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou ) was a Czech singer ( tenor ) and composer.
Life
Míča was probably trained in Vienna and then entered the chapel in the Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou residence of Count Questenberg as a singer in 1714 . In 1722 he was promoted to music director, a position he held until his death. There he was also known as a composer.
In addition to five operas (including O původu Jaroměřic from 1730), partly based on Czech libretti and cantatas , he composed the Sepolcro - a preliminary form of the oratorio - sung-sung reflections on Etwelche secrets of the angry Leyden and the death of Jesus Khristij .
His nephew was the composer František Adam Míča (1746–1811).
