Franz-Josef Nordlohne

Franz-Josef Nordlohne (born March 18, 1939 in Lohne (Oldenburg) , † January 29, 1981 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1972 to 1979 and a member of the European Parliament from 1979 until his death .

Life

After completing secondary school at a commercial school, Nordlohne embarked on a career in administration. From 1956 to 1958 he completed an administration apprenticeship with the city of Lohne and later attended the Oldenburg School of Administration , where he passed the second administrative examination in 1964 for senior administration and cashier service. Professionally, he worked as a clerk in the areas of social welfare and war victims, burden balancing, pension insurance, social housing and housing benefit at the city of Lohne, most recently as department head and deputy head of department. He was a member of the ÖTV , the Catholic Business Association and the Catholic Workers' Movement .

Nordlohne joined the CDU in 1965. He was elected to the state board of the CDU Oldenburg and has been a member of the CDU federal technical committees for social policy and structural policy since the early 1970s. He was also a member of the Lower Saxony state board of the CDA , which he had already joined in 1963.

In the federal elections in 1972 and 1976 , Nordlohne entered the German Bundestag via the Lower Saxony state list of the CDU . In both terms he was a member of the Committee on Regional Planning, Building and Urban Development. After his election to the European Parliament in 1979 , he resigned from the Bundestag on September 4, 1979. Ferdinand Erpenbeck moved up for him in the Bundestag.

Nordlohne was a member of the European Parliament from July 17, 1979 until his death. There he was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs and Employment. Franz-Josef Nordlohne died on January 29, 1981 after a serious illness.
