Franz Boni

Franz Böni (born June 17, 1952 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss writer .

Franz Böni wrote 30 books, was filmed and translated into 6 languages. He made his breakthrough in 1979 with his collection of stories A Wanderer in the Alpine Rain , published by Suhrkamp Verlag . Ten more books followed by Suhrkamp. He was a member of the Olten group . Franz Böni has received various domestic and foreign literary prizes.

His estate is in the Swiss Literature Archive , Bern, and in the German Literature Archive Marbach .
