Franz Bertram (politician, 1843)

Franz Ludwig Bertram (born August 12, 1843 in Delitzsch , † September 1888 in Ober-Horka ) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Bertram attended the first order secondary school in Erfurt . He studied from 1863 to 1864 at the University of Leipzig , where he heard economics and finance. He took part in the wars of 1866 and 1870–71 as an active soldier, and in 1873 he was retired from the military. After that he was a farmer on his estate in Ober-Horka. He was also chairman of the Rothenburg agricultural district association and the Neißetal agricultural association . Bertram has also written several treatises on fruit culture and fruit processing in Germany.

From 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency district Liegnitz 10 Rothenburg (Oberlausitz) , Hoyerswerda and the German Progressive Party .
