Franz Dampfhofer

Franz Dampfhofer (born June 28, 1946 in Voitsberg ) is an Austrian painter and draftsman . He lives in Vienna and Köflach .

Life

Franz Dampfhofer was born on June 28, 1946 in Voitsberg and grew up in Köflach, where he also attended elementary and secondary school. After a two-year apprenticeship as a glass painter in the Köflach glass factory, he moved to Rudolf Szyszkowitz's master class at the Graz School of Applied Arts in 1962 , which he attended until 1966. From 1968 to 1972 Franz Dampfhofer studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Rudolf Hausner . Since then, Franz Dampfhofer has lived as a freelance artist in Vienna and Köflach. Franz Dampfhofer is chairman of the association "Provinz - Aktion Weststeiermark".
