Franz Xaver Dauer (born August 8, 1873 in Weinberg , † August 13, 1937 in Munich ) was a German railroad worker and politician ( BVP ).

Live and act

Duration attended elementary schools in Weinberg and Herrieden from 1880 to 1887 . Then he worked alternately as a farmer and as a railroad worker. From 1893 to 1895 he was a member of the 12th Bavarian Infantry Regiment in Neu-Ulm . From 1895 to 1899 he worked in the Munich railway workshop , after which he became an official at the Bavarian Railway Association. In 1902 he became editor of the magazine Der Eisenbahner .

From 1907 to 1911 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . From October 1914 to May 1916 he took part in the First World War as a member of the Landsturm battalion Passau II . In 1916 he was appointed General Secretary of the Bavarian Railway Association.

In the Weimar Republic, duration initially belonged to the Bavarian state parliament again - from 1918 to 1920 . From July to October 1919 he also served as Political Councilor in the Bavarian Ministry of Transport. From 1920 to 1928 he was a member of the Berlin Reichstag for the Bavarian People's Party (BVP) , in which he represented constituency 23 (Niederbayern-Oberpfalz). Furthermore, he was noticed as the author of several brochures in which he dealt with socio-political and trade union issues.
