Franz Drescher

Franz Drescher (born March 3, 1871 in Zaborze , † January 20, 1934 in Breslau ) was a German mining specialist and manager .

Life

After studying mining, Franz Drescher worked as a mountain ridge in various functions in the Prussian state mining administration , most recently as director of the “Queen Luise” coal mine . In 1912 he left the civil service and switched to the private sector. In 1921 he became general director of the then newly founded Schlesische Bergwerks- und Hütten AG in Beuthen .

At the same time he was a board member of the Oberschlesischen Berg- und Hüttenmännischen Verein e. V., member of the Opole Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Imperial Coal Council . Drescher acted as chairman of the supervisory board of AG Lignose (Berlin) and was a member of the supervisory board of Sachtleben AG for mining and chemical industry (Cologne) and the Silesian stock corporation for mining and zinc smelting ( Lipine , East Upper Silesia )
