Franz Eder is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Eder, who competed for the Ramsau Ski Club , made his international debut at the first Four Hills Tournament in 1953 . He immediately landed in tenth place in Oberstdorf . In Bischofshofen he just missed his first podium as fourth. He finished the tour in 15th place overall.

In the Four Hills Tournament 1953/54 Eder reached eighth place in Oberstdorf and fifth place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Bischofshofen. Since he did not compete in Innsbruck , it was only enough to finish ninth overall in the end. He repeated this result at the Four Hills Tournament 1954/55 , his first and only tour in which he competed in all four jumping competitions. Before that, he had won the title of German champion in front of Toni Brutscher in 1954 .

In the Four Hills Tournament 1955/56 and the Four Hills Tournament 1957/58 Eder only competed in Bischofshofen on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze . He finished the tours in 34th and 56th place overall.
