Franz Gerauer (politician, 1869)
Franz Gerauer (born January 20, 1869 in Hartham ; † August 29, 1952 in Rotthalmünster ) was a German farmer and politician (BVP).
Life
Gerauer was born as the son of the independent farmer and member of the state parliament Benedikt Gerauer . He attended elementary school in Mittich . From 1899 he worked as a farmer on his parents' estate in Hartham. In 1900 he married. In 1906 he became mayor of Mittich. In addition, Gerauer was a member of the Rotthalmünster-Griesbach district committee. After the First World War , Gerauer joined the Bavarian People's Party (BVP), for which he was a member of the Reichstag in Berlin from 1920 to 1932 . Gerauer initially represented constituency 28 (Niederbayern-Oberpfalz) in parliament from June 1920 to May 1924. From May 1924 to July 1932 he represented constituency 25 (Lower Bavaria).
His son Franz Gerauer was also a farmer and politician.

- In Rotthalmünster , Franz-Gerauer-Strasse was named after Gerauer.
