Franz Höbarth (* 1778 ; † April 12, 1845 in Linz ) was an Austrian master builder.

Live and act

After the death of the master builder Peter Mungenast in 1816, Franz Höbarth was accepted as city master builder of Linz on his master builder justice. He built numerous Biedermeier-classicist town houses in Linz and Upper Austria, which are particularly noticeable for their solidity and strict structure. From 1820 Höbarth was responsible for the renewal of the tower of the parish church . Around 1830 he built new mansions for their mansions on behalf of some Upper Austrian scythes , which today are among the most representative representatives of this type of building.
