Franz Hartong

Franz Johannes Hermann Conrad Hartong (born January 30, 1882 in Oldenburg , † November 14, 1945 in Hude ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician of the German People's Party (DVP).

Life

Hartong studied law and worked as an administrative lawyer from 1908 to 1918, most recently as the City General Counsel of Oldenburg. On October 1, 1918, he moved to Delmenhorst as director of the North German wool combing & worsted spinning mill .

From 1920 to 1932 he was a member of the Oldenburg State Parliament for the DVP . On May 4, 1932, he moved back to Oldenburg and worked there as a lawyer and notary . After the seizure of power of the Nazis , he joined in 1933 the National Socialist German Workers' Party at (NSDAP) in 1935, he was beside professional member of the Upper Council of Churches . In 1945 the military government approved him again as a notary, but he died in the same year.
