The Franz Kassecker GmbH is a construction company based in Waldsassen in Bavaria . The company operates in the fields of steel construction and metal construction, building construction and industrial construction, civil engineering and civil engineering. In the 2007 financial year, Kassecker achieved sales of 106 million euros and employed more than 400 people.
history
The construction company was founded in 1902 by the master builder Franz Kassecker. In 1931, Franz Kassecker, his uncle, took Emil Engel into the company.
During the Second World War, the positive development of the company stopped, as the construction of roads in the then General Government of Poland had to be stopped. It wasn't until Emil Engel was released from American captivity in 1947 that the construction company began to rebuild. After the end of the war, Franz Kassecker GmbH was involved in the construction of apartment blocks , armored halls and barracks in Kaiserslautern and Würzburg for the armed forces of the United States .
At the end of the 1950s, the construction company was involved in the construction of the circular sewer system at Tegernsee . In 1991, the Mannheim construction company Bilfinger Berger acquired the majority in Franz Kassecker GmbH.
Since 2003 the company has been significantly involved in orders from Deutsche Bahn AG and in 2005 acquired a majority stake in the Czech company Stamoza sro, based in Cheb . In 2007 a production facility for steel and metal construction was founded in Wiesau .
From 2008 to 2010 Kassecker carried out the renovation of the Essen main train station . The order volume was around 13 million euros.
In 2010, four long-standing company executives acquired 100 percent of the shares in Franz Kassecker GmbH.
