Franz Kober

Franz Josef Kober (born April 15, 1956 in Mamming ) is a German engineer and entrepreneur.

Life

After studying engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences , he began to work in the cinema industry. Until 1992, Kober was the authorized signatory of Kinoton , a manufacturer of projection equipment. In 1995 he became the managing director and owner of Ernemann and founded Cine Project together with Reinhold Hampf . He is considered a pioneer in the cinema industry, as his work in several countries made cinema accessible to the public. With 40 employees (as of 2004), the company is the fifth largest provider of cinema technology in the world, and the company also owns the largest mobile screen in the world , which was used, among other things, in the Munich Olympic Stadium for Cinema Project One .

He is the older brother of the cameraman Helmfried Kober and the nephew of the entrepreneur Ignatz Wimmer . Kober lives with his family in Landshut .
