Helmfried Kober

Helmfried Kober (* 1965 in Mamming ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Helmfried Kober obtained his general university entrance qualification in 1985. From November 1989 to May 1994 he studied precision engineering with a focus on film and video technology at the Munich University of Applied Sciences , which he graduated as a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) graduated. He wrote his diploma thesis on the subject of "Development of drives and computer controls for ARRI Head, Arnold & Richter ". This was followed by a degree in German at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Until 2003 he was involved as a camera assistant in movies : z. B. Anatomie (1999), Marlene (1999), Come, sweet death (2000), Fear dot com (2001), Bergkristall (2004). For several years he did this at the side of Joseph Vilsmaier . He has worked on film productions in the fields of television , advertising and short films on both a national and international level .

He has been working as a cinematographer since 2005. His most important works include Cinema: The Last Train (uncredited), Shopping , The Last Beautiful Autumn Day , Big Lies! , Nanga Parbat , TV: Die Gustloff , Polizeiruf 110 , Murden im Norden , Der Bergdoktor .

He is a member of the German Film Academy. Since December 2012 he has also been working as a product manager for film archive technology.

His short film YesYes, No Problem received the Lenzing Award at the Festival of Nations , Austria in 2015 .
