Franz Kullak
Franz Kullak (born April 12, 1844 in Berlin ; † December 9, 1913 there ) was a German pianist and composer .
Kullak, the son of Theodor Kullak , studied at his father's New Academy in Berlin, which he continued after his death in 1882 and dissolved in 1890. As a teaching work he published:
- The first piano lesson
- The progress in piano playing
- The harmony on the piano.
He composed the great opera in 5 acts "Ines de Castro" (Berlin 1877), an anniversary overture, piano pieces and songs . He also arranged numerous orchestral works (by Mozart and Beethoven, among others ) for piano and worked as a music critic and editor.
