Franz Perrot

Franz Perrot (born April 5, 1835 in Trier , † November 10, 1891 in Wiesbaden ) was an editor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Franz Perrot attended high school and secondary school, joined the 8th Artillery Regiment in Koblenz and went to the United Artillery and Engineering School in Berlin . As a secondary lieutenant, he moved from the line to the Landwehr I. squad. From 1863 to 1870 he was the head of the office of the Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft in Cologne. In 1866 he took part in the war in Bohemia and became Premier Lieutenant. In the war against France from 1870 to 1871 he was awarded the Iron Cross and became a captain. In 1871 he took up residence in Strasbourg . Between 1870 and 1875 he was secretary of the Mecklenburg Trade Association in Rostock . He then worked in the editorial team of conservative papers in Dresden, Frankfurt a./M., Stuttgart.

As an employee of the Kreuzzeitung , Perrot was responsible for the "era articles" , which were heavily edited by Philipp von Nathusius-Ludom . In it he attacked Bismarck indirectly in the person of his banker Gerson von Bleichröder , accused him of corruption , and accused Jewish businessmen, but also state employees and members of parliament, as the originators of the founder row . Because of the anti-Jewish polemics , Nathusius-Ludom and Perrot had to leave the Kreuzzeitung.

From 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 6 Hersfeld , Rotenburg (Fulda) , Hünfeld and the German Conservative Party .
