Franz Pfleger (lawyer)

Franz Pfleger (born October 14, 1915 - † June 5, 2007 ) was a German lawyer and attorney .

Life

Pfleger was the son of the lawyer and politician Joseph Pfleger . He graduated from the Augustinus Gymnasium in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate . Reich labor service and military service in World War II followed at the time of National Socialism .

During the war, he passed the law and economics exams at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In the absence of an NSDAP membership - his father also defended Jewish clients during the November pogroms in 1938 - he was initially unable to complete the associated legal clerkship . He was only able to complete it in 1946 after being a prisoner of war and catch up on his state examination .

In 1947 he married his wife Anna Maria († 2005 at the age of 81). The marriage resulted in two daughters and a son. Pfleger worked, among other things, as a lawyer at the Federal Court of Justice . He was chairman of the Weiden Bar Association for around 25 years. For over 40 years he was committed to the disabled and was a founding member in 1965, then an advisory board and from 1990 to 1998 chairman of the board of the curative education center - Lebenshilfe für Behinderte eV (HPZ) in Irchenrieth .

Franz Pfuer's daughter Anne, married Brünnig, is the third generation of the family to work as a lawyer in the law firm founded by Pfuer's father. Care's funeral mass took place in the parish church of St. Josef . His body was buried in the Weiden city cemetery.
