Irchenrieth is a municipality in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab . The place of the same name is both the capital and the seat of the municipal administration.

history

Until the church is planted

Irchenrieth belonged to the Landgraviate of Leuchtenberg , later to the Leuchtenberg court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The Landgraviate of Leuchtenberg finally fell to Bavaria in 1712/14. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

20th century

On January 1, 1978, the community Bechtsrieth was incorporated. Since January 1, 1994, Bechtsrieth and Trebsau have again formed their own municipality after a referendum and the approval of the Bavarian state parliament.
