Franz Preitler (2019)

Franz A. Preitler (born April 18, 1963 in Mürzzuschlag ) is an Austrian author and writer.

Life

Preitler lives in Langenwang and Graz and writes about his homeland, Styria . In addition to the publication of books since 2005, he has worked as an author and editor on anthologies . He writes both Styrian dialect texts and poems in a modern way and gives readings. He also publishes stories and poems on the Internet. For decades, the author has been working with the Styrian local poet Peter Rosegger and giving readings on it.

In 2018 he published two books and is the author of a bi-weekly newspaper column on Rosegger and Styria. He organizes literary and cultural events and is the narrator of sagas and legends from his homeland.

Preitler is a member of the IG Authors Authors Austria and until 2018 belonged to the interest group of German-speaking authors .
