Epp's cabinet
The Cabinet of Epp formed as Acting Ministers from 10 March to 12 April 1933 the provisional state government of Bavaria .
From March 7 to March 27, 1933, Epp's cabinet gradually ousted the Held government from power. The Reichstag election of March 5, 1933 saw a majority in the NSDAP . As a result, Reich Minister of the Interior Frick appointed Franz von Epp as Reich Commissioner in Bavaria on March 9 ("to maintain public security and order"). On March 16, Epp proclaimed that after Held's "resignation" he had now taken over all government power with his commissariat government. On March 27, Held agreed to his removal in Switzerland.
