The Seehofer II cabinet formed the state government of the Free State of Bavaria from October 10, 2013 to March 21, 2018 . It was led by Horst Seehofer ( CSU ), who was re-elected as Prime Minister by the state parliament on October 8, 2013 with 100 votes. That was one vote less than the CSU had seats. The CSU obtained an absolute majority of the seats in the state parliament in the state elections on September 15, 2013 . The FDP left the state parliament and thus from the government. The CSU could again form a sole government . The members of the state government were sworn in on October 10th. As with the previous cabinets, the constitutional maximum of 18 members introduced in 1998 was used in full.

On March 13, 2018 came Horst Seehofer by the Office of the Prime Minister back to the March 14, 2018 as Minister of the Interior, for construction and home in the Cabinet Merkel IV to occur. Between March 14 and 16, 2018, Ilse Aigner headed official affairs as acting Prime Minister. On March 16, 2018, Finance Minister Markus Söder was elected as the new Prime Minister. The Söder I cabinet was appointed on March 21, 2018, until then the Seehofer II cabinet remained in office under Söder's leadership.
