The Ehard IV cabinet formed the state government of the Free State of Bavaria from January 26, 1960 to December 11, 1962 . After Hanns Seidel resigned as Bavarian Prime Minister for health reasons on January 22, 1960 , Hans Ehard took over the leadership of the state government until the end of the legislative period . It was the fourth cabinet under Hans Ehard, who was Prime Minister from 1946 to 1954. The Ehard IV cabinet was followed by the first state government under Alfons Goppel .
All state ministers remained unchanged compared to the previous cabinet, as did all state secretaries (except for the newly added state chancellor Franz Heubl ). This is unique in the German post-war history.
