Schäffer cabinet
The Schäffer cabinet was set up on May 28, 1945 by the American occupying forces as the state government of the Free State of Bavaria . It was the first Bavarian state government after the end of the Second World War . After the military government came to the conclusion that Schäffer had not rigorously cleared the public service of former NSDAP party members , it dismissed him and his cabinet on September 28, 1945. It was followed by the Hoegner I cabinet .
